Honour and the Sword is the first in a series of novels following the adventures of André de Roland through the tumultuous history of 17th century France, set against the brutal backdrop of The Thirty Years War.

The books are written as a collection of contemporary documents supposedly translated by historian ‘Dr Edward Morton’, who also acts as host on this site.
